Privacy policy

WeldTraveler ("we") gives welding and metal fabrication shops a digital job traveler: the steps on each job, who signed them off, holds and inspections. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

What we store

• Your account: your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by Amazon Cognito.
• Your shop's records: jobs (customer, purchase order, drawing and revision, material notes, heat numbers, due dates), the steps on each job and who signed each off and when, holds and quality notes with any photo links, inspection results, route templates, team roles, and who recorded each change.
• Page-view analytics: the page visited, referring site, browser user agent, rough location when available, and a one-way hash of the IP address that changes daily. We never store the raw IP address.
• Feedback you send, with your email if you give it.
• Billing: Stripe processes payments. We store Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan, never your card number.

Who sees what

Your owner decides who joins your shop and in what role. Welders see every job and its steps but can change only the steps assigned to them or claim an unassigned one. If the owner turns on a customer link for a job, anyone with that link can read the job, its step sign-offs and its inspections (not its holds) until the link is turned off.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and random IDs to count visits and sessions. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Who processes your data

Amazon Web Services provides hosting, database, and sign-in; Stripe processes payments; and Resend sends transactional email. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

Your company's records stay until you delete them or ask us to close the account. Analytics are kept in aggregate form for as long as they remain useful.

Your choices

You can export jobs, holds and inspections as CSV. To get a copy of everything, correct personal information, or delete your account and company data, contact us.
